Guest Speaker | Michaela T. Nguyen, RDH, MS

Michaela is the pre-clinical director and senior clinical instructor in the Dental Hygiene program at University of Southern California. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene at USC and her Master of Science in Dental Hygiene at UCSF. She is a contributor of numerous articles on advanced instrumentation for the journal, Dimensions of Dental Hygiene. Nguyen coauthored the chapter on Hand-Activated Instrumentation in the 4th edition of Darby and Walsh’s Dental Hygiene Theory and Practice. She conducts and participates in advanced instrumentation hands on workshops throughout the country and internationally.

Faculty Calibration

At the end of the presentation/workshop the faculty will be able to:

  1. Describe the steps for calibrating faculty in daily clinical grading.
  2. Explain techniques for calibrating faculty in teaching clinical courses.
  3. Identify calibration steps for faculty in clinical performance and competency evaluations.
